Play Udyr by the rule hit before you swap again: weave contact between stances so your passive stays warm, and do not spend an awakened turn on dragon or grubs if the real fight is about to start
Use Udyr’s targeting grammar on purpose—Awakened R for the pile, Awakened Q for the drifter, Awakened W after burst lands—so you spend the empowered turn on the fight shape you are actually in
Do not snap the first loop for a maybe-gank; full clear or near-full clear, take only the truly free early play, and arrive to the first neutral with your route intact, because Udyr’s recent results swing much more with early gold and farm than with early gank volume
Start by reading the shape, not your build. If the fight is clumped around a choke, pit mouth, or melee pile, default to Awakened R and let them stand in it. If one target is actually alone or has drifted out of peel, Awakened Q is your kill button. If you have already been hit and need the fight to last one more beat, Awakened W is usually the stabilizer. Awakened E is the rarest one to force early; it is best when one extra burst of speed or CC immunity is what gets you through the moment that actually matters, not just into first contact.
Udyr has four basic Abilities that swap between Stances and can Recast an Ability to renew it with Ultimate benefits. Additionally, after using an Ability, Udyr's next two Attacks gain Attack Speed.
Udyr gains attack speed and his next two attacks deal bonus physical damage. Recast: Gain even more attack speed, and the next two attacks call lightning to strike the target.
Udyr gains a shield and his next two attacks heal him. Recast: Gain an even bigger shield and heal based on max health over the next couple seconds.
Udyr gains movement speed and his first attack against each target will Stun them. Recast: Gain even more movement speed and immunity to immobilizing effects for a couple seconds.
Udyr surrounds himself in a glacial storm, damaging and slowing nearby enemies. Recast: Empower and unleash the storm, causing it to track enemies and deal additional damage.
